Richard Morton is a Partner and Head of our Banking, Finance & Instiutions team. He joined us in 2021 and brings over 20 years of experience advising oncomplex, high-value finance transactions in the UK and internationally.

A specialist in acquisition and leveraged finance,asset-based lending, real estate finance, loan restructuring and asset finance,Richard supports banks, funds, borrowers and alternative lenders across a widerange of financing arrangements. His work includes some of the market’s mostdemanding and innovative deals.

Notable experience includes advising HSBC on a £1.5 billion recommended cash offer, acting for Cordant Group on a £120 million refinancing, and supporting PNC and Call credit on multiple asset-based and syndicated lending transactions. He is also the author and contributing editor of Modern Financial Regulation, a leading industry textbook.
