Lana Bamforth is a Solicitor in our Employment team. She joined us in 2022 as a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice and qualified in 2025 after completing her SQE exams and training, with a focus on Employment Law.

She advises both individuals and businesses on a range of workplace matters, including grievance and disciplinary issues, contracts of employment, workplace policies, tribunal claims and settlement agreements.

Before joining Blacks, Lana graduated with a Law degree from Newcastle University and gained three years of employment law experience at both a trade union firm and a national practice.

Blacks helped us think beyond the sessions by supporting us to consider how the legislative changes translate into day to day behaviours and what this means for our culture in anticipation for our policy to be launched. This has supported follow on training delivery internally surrounding misogyny, misogynoir and trans-misogyny.
