Helen Carter

Helen Carter is an Associate Licensed Conveyancer in our Landlord Financing & Conveyancing team.

Helen has over two decades of experience in conveyancing.  Her legal career began as a remortgage case advisor in 2003 at Hammondsdirect. In 2005, she successfully completed their internal training school to become a fee earner.

Since then, Helen has worked for a number of firms around Yorkshire before joining Blacks in 2020, as a Conveyancer within the Banking, Residential Property team.  She was later promoted to Associate in 2024.

‍

Over the years, Helen has gained extensive experience in all areas of residential conveyancing including transfers of equity, newbuilds, leasehold and repossessions. She now specialises in Buy to Let work including purchases and refinancing for individuals and companies including director to company transfer work, where Buy to Let Landlords and Companies are her main clients together with Buy to Let Specialist Lenders.

Helen prides herself on being efficient and organised, whilst also delivering excellent client care and believes this is why during her time at Blacks, she has built up a regular, repeat client base of Buy to Let Landlords and Companies.

During her time at Blacks, Helen has completed her Level 4 and 6 Diplomas in Conveyancing Law and Practice and is now a Licensed Conveyancer.
