Emma joined our firm as a Legal Director in 2025 and leads our Data Protection & Information team.

‍

She specialises in data protection and privacy law, helping organisations manage their compliance obligations with confidence. Emma advises on all aspects of UK data protection, including the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR.

‍

Emma works closely with businesses to develop practical and proportionate approaches to employee monitoring, data governance, and privacy compliance. Her experience includes carrying out DPIAs and legitimate interest assessments, drafting policies and privacy notices, managing international data transfers, and advising on supplier and data processing arrangements.

She also supports HR and compliance teams with complex data subject access requests, data breaches, and regulatory engagement with the ICO. Emma has extensive experience advising organisations across the technology, financial services, and professional services sectors.

Emma holds an LLB from the University of York, the Legal Practice Course, and an International Master's in Commercial Law from the University of Law.
